It looks like the beef between controversial rapper 50 Cent and acclaimed mixed martial artist Conor McGregor is set to heat up again after McGregor referenced the rapper in an Instagram post that took aim at his good friend, Floyd “Money” Mayweather as well as a number of other popular media personalities.
The popular Irish combat sports star has been in the spotlight this week after scoring a lucrative sponsorship from the popular “Burger King” fast food restaurant chain.
“I have now surpassed Ronaldo as I told him I would in 2016,” he wrote in his post.
“Floyd as a retired fighter that makes ZERO substantial revenue outside of them ropes is not on the list, and in the long game, is already dead. Mixed Martial Arts is a glorious game, Floyd. You are going to love it hahaha. Someone tag 50 Cent in this for me. He blocked me on this the mad 50-year-old Instagram blocker. Ahh don’t block me, 50 kid, I still like some of your songs. The older ones hahah.”
50 Cent promptly responded with a video on his social media account which was deleted but has now been uploaded to YouTube, alluding to allegations that McGregor had cheated on his longtime partner Dee Devlin and abandoned his young family as soon as he had become rich and famous. Conversely, it looks like McGregor has been spending plenty with his family if social media posts are anything to go off of.
All that said, pop singer Rita Ora and McGregor had been spotted at an event earlier last year, with Ora posting images with the UFC lightweight champion captioned: “Date night”.
Ora was subjected to a barrage of insults from supporters of Devlin, who said she should “have more respect” for McGregor’s partner of nine years and labelled her as a “homewrecker”.
Whether or not the rumours regarding McGregor and Ora are true, there has certainly been more than a few allegations of McGregor’s wild behaviour over the last few years. Since hitting the limelight, stories of wild parties and long nights have surfaced, though no allegations of cheating or ill intent have ever been directly attributed to the Irish king of mixed martial arts.
