Former Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight titlist flaunted his new physique as he looks to compete at Dana White’s upcoming Fight Island.
The Brazilian mixed martial artist is currently on a two-fight losing skid as he was knocked out by Francis Ngannou and Curtis Blaydes respectively.
Prior to these defeats, Dos Santos has scored three straight wins to bounce back from a first round TKO loss to Stipe Miocic in their heavyweight title bout in May 2017.
Shortly after White announced he has secured a private island to stage future MMA events, Dos Santos expressed his desire to take part in this exciting show.
“That’s what I’m taking about man Let’s make it happen Dana Everybody is at home willing to watch us beating the crap out of each other. LETS GOOOOOOOO!!!” he wrote on Twitter.

New Weight Class?
He then said in a video that competing at Fight Island would be like being in a Jean-Claude Van Damme film.
“That’s movies stuff. It got me really excited,” JDS admitted.
“Anything is possible for those guys. Look where we are, where MMA is going, everything because of that mindset of getting things done.”
“Like I said, it’s like the movies, it’s like that Jean-Claude Van Damme movie, the one where they bring guys from different corners of the world to this island, each one representing a different martial art.”
“It’s the roots of MMA. It’s going to be amazing if it really happens.”
Could the Brazilian be moving down to a new weight class if he is booked for the Fight Island? MMA fans are currently speculating he could be leaving the 265-pound division as he showed off his leaner physique, following a successful keto diet.

No Rest
The former heavyweight champion has said he wants to return to the cage this May as he aims to correct the mistakes he made on his most recent fight.
“I will only rest when I get things right again and fix my mistakes. To me, the best option is to get another fight right away,” he told ESPN.
“I wanted to fight soon after my injury because that’s the best medicine to me. My life is good when I’m active, when I have a goal.”
“I can get ready for a fight in May, no problem. That sounds good to me. In case they offer me something for that card, I can fight in Brazil in May.”
The planned UFC 250 in Brazil has been scrapped due to the coronavirus pandemic and the promotion is now gearing for the new UFC 249 card on May 9.
