The Ultimate Fighting Championship lived up to expectations when it returned to action on Saturday night for the much-awaited and insanely stacked UFC 249 fight card.
Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson delivered an instant classic in the headlining fight, with the 31-year old underdog shocking the world after destroying the number one lightweight contender in a thrilling five-round showdown.
‘The Highlight’ ended Ferguson’s 12-fight winning streak, which could also closed the door for the highly-anticipated Khabib vs Ferguson matchup as Gaethje will unify the belts with the defending champion later this year.
Mixed martial arts fans were all praises for the lightweight pair as they both displayed incredible chin and insane highlight reels ala street fighter game.
