T-Mobile Arena Reportedly Booked Out For Floyd Mayweather Vs Conor McGregor

Rumours have begun to fly regarding a possible date for Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather’s much-anticipated boxing super fight.

Sources close to Flocombat.com confirmed that the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas has reserved the date of June 10th as the night the UFC’s lightweight champion and pay per view star could face off against one of the greatest boxers the world has ever known.

While it definitely doesn’t confirm the bout has been made, or guarantee that we will see the two athletes face off in the ring, it does tell us that things truly are being worked on behind the curtain and that fans of both sports could soon be waking up to news that the bout agreement has been signed.

Last week, the veteran boxer Mayweather said that he was officially coming out of retirement last week to take on Conor McGregor and that he wanted to destroy the UFC’s golden boy. Mayweather went on to tell McGregor to “stop blowing smoke up people’s asses and sign the paper.”

Mayweather retired from the boxing world after finally facing Manny Pacquiao, defeating him via unanimous decision in May of 2015, and then Andre Berto in September 2015.

“You said you’re a boss,” said Mayweather, who famously runs his own promotion, known as Mayweather Promotions. “Just sign the paper, and let’s make it happen.”

Stepping into the boxing ring would be a major departure from the skill-set of Conor McGregor, who counts his kicks among some of his best weapons. However, it is the left hand of McGregor that he says “no one can take.”

This would be the first time McGregor has ever fought outside of the octagon. Mayweather has, of course, participated in the WWE’s WrestleMania, facing Big Show at WrestleMania 24… but we all know that doesn’t count.

Could we be seeing the fight fans of boxing and mixed martial arts have been clamouring for finally coming together? Stay tuned, because you can bet that more news is coming soon if T-Mobile Arena has gone so far ahead as to reserve a date for the super fight.
