Ultimate Fighting Championship stars have shared their thoughts about Nate Diaz’s shocking announcement.
On Tuesday, the former Strikeforce standout revealed that he is pulling out of the UFC 244 main event against Jorge Masvidal after an anti-doping violation issue.
Diaz and Masvidal are scheduled to headline the said fight card on November 2 at the Madison Square Garden in New York, with the one-and-done ‘baddest motherf***er’ title up for grabs.
Everyone is excited about this intriguing clash until the Stockton, California native admitted that he was flagged by the United States Anti-Doping Agency for a failed drug test.
ESPN has reported that the Nevada-based promotion and its anti-doping partner “are gathering information and will issue a statement as soon as possible.”
Nate Diaz Releases Statement
“I’m not gonna make it out to NYC for fight week next week becausee they say I tested with elevated levels that they say might be from some tainted supplements,” Diaz said.
“I call false on that cause I only take Whole Food or natural food supplements. I don’t even eat meat. So until UFC, USADA or whoever is F***ING with me fixes it, I won’t be competing.”
“I’m not gonna play their game and try to hide it or keep quite, as they suggested. I’m not going to have my name tainted as a cheater like these other motherfuckers who keep quite until after the fight just so that they can get paid.”
