Stoppage
What expected as a barnburner affair turned into a quick outing for Henry Cejudo as he earned a first-round stoppage win over TJ Dillashaw in his first title-retention fight at UFC Brooklyn.
Cejudo’s stoppage of Dillashaw was the fifth fastest in UFC history in 32 seconds, but many fans were disappointed with how the fight was called off, saying the stoppage was way too early to call. But a win is a win for “The Messenger” and he’ll gladly take it as it is crucial for the future of the flyweight division, which was rumoured to be shut down this year.
Meanwhile, it was the first time “Killashaw” suffered a TKO loss in nearly eight years while failing to become the next UFC champion to hold two belts simultaneously.

Following their successful stints at UFC 227, the Nevada-based promotion booked Cejudo and Dillashaw for a champ vs champ bout, which will headline the inaugural UFC offering on ESPN.
Meanwhile, “The Viper” defeated Cody Garbrandt for the second straight time to retain the UFC bantamweight strap. Dillashaw made quick work of his rival as he finished “No Love” with devastating knees and punches in just the first round of their rematch.
