Tito Ortiz Plans To Become Police Officer To Bring Respect Back To Cops

Former Utimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz wants to change the image of the embattled men in uniform.

The police has been in hot water, following the death of George Floyd at the hands of white cop in Minneapolis, which sparked protests and riots across the United States and outrage around the world.

‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ has shared a bizarre conspiracy theory about Floyd’s death, saying the cause of his death was not because of kneeling on his neck.

“All of a sudden when [Joe] Biden said, ‘If you don’t vote for me you ain’t black.’ What’s the best way to do it? Oh yeah, let’s just go and let an officer supposed kill a black guy,” Ortiz said in a video posted on Twitter.

“You know he died from a heart condition right? It wasn’t suffocation. I mean it’s not right, I’m not saying it’s right. It was completely wrong.”

“The cop should have never did that, but the cop that got arrested doesn’t look nothing like the cop that did it. Crazy. The only reason I say this sh-t is because I speak the truth.”

The MMA legend drew flak on social media for his take on Floyd’s killing, with fans urging him to educate himself about current issues.

Ortiz has also taken to Instagram to call for unity among his fellow Americans while telling a fan he’ll be a police officer in a bid to restore the respect to the cops.

“Keep doing what you are doing sir. I’m losing hope in humans and I look to tour feed more and more for inspiration,” the fan commented.

Ortiz replied: “Don’t you dare give up. We need you. I need you. You can do it. I’m going to be a police officer. I can help bring respect back to officers. We should be treat each other how we want to be treated.”
