Rising mixed martial arts star Sean O’Malley needed only a single punch to secure his second straight victory since returning to the Octagon last March.
The bantamweight star locked horns with MMA veteran Eddie Wineland in the curtain raiser of the UFC 250 pay-per-view event’s main card at the UFC Apex arena in Las Vegas, Saturday night.
Coming off a first-round technical knockout victory at UFC 248, his first win since he was banned by the United States Anti-Doping Violation for two years, ‘Sugar’ knocked Wineland out cold in the first round with a vicious right hand.
O’Malley has stretched his winning streak to four fights and will likely take home a $50 000 bonus for the Performance of the Night honor.
