Sean O’Malley: “I Heard Cejudo Peed His Pants A Little During My Fight”

Sean O’Malley takes a dig on current bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo after making a successful Octagon return this past weekend.

The undefeated bantamweight phenom was in an incredible form at UFC 248 despite a two-year layoff and needed only 122 seconds to finish his opponent Jose Alberto Quinonez.

For this impressive win, he took home a $50 000 bonus after being awarded the ‘Performance of the Night’ honor.

He also improves his overall MMA record to 11-0, including a 3-0 slate in the UFC, and is likely to face a higher rank bantamweight for his next outing.

Looking to become the next superstar in the UFC, ‘Sugar’ has already taken a swipe on the reigning king of his weight class.

After scoring his return win last Saturday, O’Malley said Cejudo may have wet himself while watching his fight against Quinonez.

“I don’t know if it’s true but I heard Cejudo peed his pants a little during my fight. Lolz,” he wrote on Twitter.

Entertaining Style

In the post-fight press conference, O’Malley laughed off concerns about him potentially dealing with ring rust on his return and said nothing has changed on his entertaining style of fighting.

“I kept laughing every time everyone asked me if I would have ring rust,” he told the media (per MMA Fighting).

“I think it did nothing but benefit my performance and I was able to get really good in those last couple of years I’ve been off.”

“Every time I got asked about that, I kind of laughed.”

“I think just fighting in general is such a sweet thing.”

“The way I fight, it’s not necessarily to entertain. It’s just an entertaining style. I didn’t feel like I had to do anything but just be me in there, and that’s what happened.”

Quick Turnaround

Now that he is in full shape, the bantamweight star is looking to fight again this summer at the International Fight Week.

“I don’t think they have any fights (in Las Vegas) until ‘International Fight Week’ (in July), so I’m going to have to check out which cards, where I’d like to fight. I think I’m in a position where I can say, ‘I’d like to fight there, (or) I’d like to fight there.’”

“So I’m going to go look at the calendar, check it out, (and) if nothing pops up, maybe ‘International Fight Week.’”

UFC president Dana White confirmed he is planning to give ‘Sugar’ a quick turnaround bout after scoring his third straight victory.

“Yeah, he looked incredible after a layoff. You know, when you think about how he had time to heal, he had a minor surgery when he was out, worked on things.”

“He looks really good and I’m looking forward to getting him back in there quick.”
