Steve Butcher has just taken the art of tattooing to a higher level and Joe Rogan was left in nowhere but awe after his face became the subject of one his most phenomenal pieces.
It is not the first time that someone got a tattoo of the colour commentator’s face on their body. However, this photo-realistic version is the hardest to outrace.
Hyper-Realism Tattoo Artist Steve Butcher
Rogan posted the photo of Butcher’s artwork of one of his many faces on Instagram. It was captioned: “Holy sh*t! @stevebutchertattoos is a f*cking wizard!!”
Butcher is a hyper-realism tattoo artist from New Zealand who’s applauded for his pop-culture-inspired works. These pieces range from portraits of legendary sports icons, musicians and movie stars to portraits of loved ones, comic book characters, animals etc.
The Fine Arts graduate was also the artist who inked Conor McGregor’s face at a fan’s arm last year. In fact, he inked Nate Diaz and the Irish star together in a single piece in 2017 as well.
Butcher’s works are highly fascinating for being lifelike, drawing some of the most famous names in sports as Kobe Bryant, Lebron James and of course, Floyd Mayweather. He also did Hollywood star and music icon tattoos of Sylvester Stallone, Michael Jackson, 2Pac, Bob Marley and more.
Rogan’s face has been inked on fan’s body multiple times, not to mention some creepy pieces where he’s drawn with a third eye on one and horns on another.
Joe Rogan On Greg Hardy’s UFC Debut
The commentator has recently shredded NFL-player-turned-MMA-fighter Greg Hardy over his ‘terrible’ UFC debut.
Anyhow, here’s a compilation of Butcher’s work featuring some of the most-celebrated mixed martial artists in the world:
