The Ultimate Fighting Championship has suffered a major blow ahead of its iteration of the ‘baddest motherf***er’ title fight.
The Stockton slugger, Nate Diaz, claimed on Tuesday that he was flagged by the United States Anti-Doping Agency, which stemmed from an out-of-competition test.
According to Diaz’s record at the USADA testing website, he has undergone seven drug tests so far this year.
The anti-doping body nor the UFC have yet to speak about the issue.
But the fan-favourite mixed martial artist has said that he will not be flying to New York next week to face Jorge Masvidal in a highly-anticipated welterweight clash at UFC 244.
Diaz wrote in a Twitter post, “Your all on steroids not me,” along with the following statements:
“I’m not gonna make it out to NYC for fight week next week becausee they say I tested with elevated levels that they say might be from some tainted supplements.”
“I call false on that cause I only take Whole Food or natural food supplements. I don’t even eat meat.”
Not Playing Along
Continuing, Diaz stressed he made the noise early as he does not want to figure things out after the fight.
“So until UFC, USADA or whoever is FUCKING with me fixes it, I won’t be competing.”
“I’m not gonna play their game and try to hide it or keep quite, as they suggested.”
“I’m not going to have my name tainted as a cheater like these other motherf***ers who keep quite until after the fight just so that they can get paid. F***ing cheaters.”
“I don’t give a fuck about some money over my dignity and legacy. I’m not playing along with that bulls**t.”
“I’m not staying quite and figuring it out after the fight. That’s cheating. So fight game I’ll see you when I see you.”
“Sincerely, the realest baddest motherf***er in the game.”

Meanwhile, there are still chances for the younger Diaz to fight for the ‘BMF’ title as ESPN’s Ariel Helwani claimed that the UFC 244 main event is not yet cancelled.
“Nate Diaz story is as fluid as it gets. A lot of people caught off guard by it.”
“Not many answers right now, including the ultimate status of the fight itself, but it’s not a prank.”
“That said, it is not accurate to say the fight is canceled as of right now.”

Diaz is coming off an impressive decision win against Anthony Pettis at UFC 241 – Nate’s first Octagon appearance in three years and since losing to Conor McGregor in their rematch.
He now holds a 15-9 win-loss slate in the UFC and 20-11 overall.
