Mike Tyson has explained why he is itching to make a major comeback in the squared circle.
Known as one of the hardest hitters to step in the ring, Tyson won 44 of his 58 fights by way of knockout. He was also the youngest boxer to capture a heavyweight title and the first heavyweight to hold three belts simultaneously.
The former undisputed heavyweight champion hanged up his gloves in 2005, following an 11th-round technical knockout loss to Kevin McBride.
Last month, he shocked the sports worlds after announcing he is back in regular training in preparation for his boxing return, where he will compete in non-professional bouts for charity.
Showing that age is just a number, ‘Iron Mike’ displayed his ferocious power and speed in a viral pad work, which resulted to plenty of fight offers including an eye-popping $20-million deal from Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship president David Feldman.

In a recent Facebook live session by #PlayApartTogether, Tyson said there is no stopping him now from boxing again, with his desire to help the poor and the homeless serving as his biggest motivation.
“That’s all I’ve been doing, getting into shape,” he shared.
“I feel unstoppable now. I feel the same again. The gods of war ignited my ego and want me to go to war again. Imagine if I went out there and fought and I could help all these people we talked about.”

Meanwhile, in a recent episode of his Hotboxin’ podcast, ‘Iron Mike’ discussed the sad state of boxing at the moment, saying the sport doesn’t get the necessary boost as promoters do not allow the best fighters to share the ring.
“The situation is whether they will fight each other. Promoters are not allowing them to fight each other. I’d love to see them fight each other but the promoters don’t want to do it,” Tyson said.
“It (boxing) is very political now. That’s why I think in the next couple months or so you’re going to find that there are some new players in the game and it’s going to get really serious.”
Naming his favorite boxers in the current roster, Tyson said: “I respect Tyson Fury, I respect Deontay Wilder, I respect all of those guys. Andy Ruiz also, this guy named Lomachenko – he’s a f–king animal, man. He’s a master, it’s like he’s dancing. There’s also Gervonta Davis, there’s quite a few guys that are good fighters.”
