Jorge Masvidal Reveals Potential Opponents For Two Huge UFC Fights

After a breakout year in 2019, it looks like Jorge Masvidal is set for bigger things in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The native of Miami, Florida has turned himself into one of the biggest draw in the promotion at the moment after racking up three massive wins this year.

At UFC London last March, Masvidal stunned the home crowd as he put the country’s local hero, Darren Till, to sleep with an emphatic second-round knockout.

Then in July, the welterweight star etched his name in the history books after finishing Ben Askren just five seconds into the opening round with a devastating flying knee.

It was the fastest knockout in the UFC history.

“Gamebred” would later capture the one-and-done ‘baddest motherf***er’ belt by defeating Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 244 earlier this month.

With such a heavy resume, Masvidal has become the strongest candidate for the next shot at the welterweight title.

Money Fight

Currently, there are speculations Masvidal might be facing the winner of the title fight between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington.

But it seems like winning the title is not his top priority.

“They’re fighting for the spot to fight me,” he told Yahoo Sports in a recent interview when asked about the UFC 245 headlining stars.

“I’m the ticket at 170 pounds. I’m going to go and get the biggest, best and toughest fights.”

Masvidal previously claimed he earned an eye-popping paycheck from his UFC 244 fight.

And for his next outing, he wants to have another red panty night.

This is why he is targeting an intriguing showdown with ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor and the other half of the famed Diaz brothers, Nick.

“So it’s looking like we might fight Nick Diaz next, it’s looking like it might be Conor McGregor, obviously those fights come first because of the paycheck and everything it brings while these guys are settling the dust between the hugging championships.”

Hyped

The older Diaz has expressed his interest in avenging Nate’s loss and Masvidal said he is hyped for this potential matchup.

“That hypes me up to want to fight. Like let’s f*cking do this cause you’re not taking nothing what I’ve got.”

“You’re knocking at my front door and you ain’t getting in here. I’m going to stop you right where you stand. That’s how I feel.”

“If he’s serious about it, he signs the paperwork and the UFC matches my handsome fees, we’re in there, we’re here to take souls.”

As for the McGregor clash, ‘Gamebred’ stressed he would not bother the former two-weight champ if he doesn’t want to pursue the fight.

“I don’t want to sound like a bully either because since I won the Nate fight, he hasn’t said a peep.”

“If that guy doesn’t want to fight, I’m not bothering nobody. I’m not going to be a bully.”
