Jairzinho Rozenstruik Faces Francis Ngannou In Next Heavyweight Fight

Streaking heavyweight fighter, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, is set to face the biggest test of his career in his next outing at the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The Surinamese mixed martial artist is fresh off an impressive come-from-behind victory against Alistair Overeem at UFC on ESPN 7 last weekend.

Down in all scorecards, Rozenstruik landed a vicious right hand just 1o seconds left in the fifth round.

The brutal blow led to the stoppage while Overeem sustained a gruesome lip injury in the process.

It was his 10 straight win on his professional MMA career, four under the UFC banner, which sets him up to a titanic clash with knockout sensation, Francis Ngannou.

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto has reported that the heavyweight pair will fight in the main event of a UFC Fight Night in March 2020.

“Breaking: Ask and you shall receive. Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs Francis Ngannou will headline UFC Fight Night on March 28 in Columbus, per sources. The fight Jairzinho wanted, coming off a 4-0 run in 2019.”

Big Scary Guy

Shortly after his massive win against Overeem, ‘Big Boy’ has expressed his desire to fight the ‘big, scary guy’ Ngannou to give MMA fans a real show.

“I wanna be back like March or April,” he said in the post-fight press conference.

“I really want to fight this big scary guy, Francis Ngannou.”

“If you hear this right now, I hope you accept this fight. Man, let’s give these people a real show.”

‘The Predator’ quickly responded to Rozenstruik’s callout, saying “I heard you babayga. You made yourself very clear tonight. Congrats on your comeback by the way.”

Ngannou, who previously fought for the heavyweight title, is currently riding a three-fight winning streak since his back-to-back losses to Derrick Lewis and Stipe Miocic.

Statement Win

Rozenstruik admitted that his most recent fight was a tough one but he is happy to prove his opponent wrong, after Overeem claimed they are on a different level.

“It was a hard fight, he’s really smart guy. He made me work.”

“I don’t need too much, one shot, one kill.”

“He said  I’m not on his level. He definitely did not respect what I do.”

“I put a lot of work in for this, trained four months for this fight. To say that, I think he is missing something.”

“Going deep is what we do everyday in the gym, and it’s what I showed today.”

“When you work hard, you can do those things.”

Can Jairzinho Rozenstruik continue his winning streak in the heavyweight class? Or will Francis Ngannou give him the first loss of his career?
