Conor McGregor wants to challenge Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson for the ‘nicest motherf***er’ title and mixed martial arts fans are fuming about it.
On Monday night, ‘Wonderboy’ appeared in the latest episode of Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, where the veteran host awarded him the newly-created ‘NMF’ belt.
Before the show closed its curtain, Helwani handed him the belt, saying “I have something very exciting for you here.”
“On behalf of your management team I would like to present to you the ‘Nicest Mofo’ belt. This was custom made for you, the ‘NMF’ title”
“Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson, the inaugural Nicest Mofo Champion.”
“You are literally the nicest person in the world, you deserve it.”
‘The Notorious’ from Ireland quickly chimed in and said he is going to add that belt to his accolades next year.
“That belt is mine in 2020 motherbuddies,” McGregor wrote on Twitter.
But MMA fans were quick to remind the former two-division champ that he is not qualified for the title.
