WATCH: Deontay Wilder Knocks Out Luis Ortiz With Massive Right Hand

Deontay Wilder has reasserted his mastery over Luis Ortiz after finishing his rival in their rematch on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The rematch marked Wilder’s tenth straight defence of the WBC heavyweight belt he captured in 2015.

From these title-retention attempts, Tyson Fury has pushed the American heavy hitter to his limit as they went back and forth for 12 rounds in their December 2018 showdown.

The instant classic, though, ended in a controversial split decision draw, with some fans claiming ‘The Gypsy King’ did enough to beat the defending champ.

According to reports, Fury and Wilder will meet again on February 2020 for their much-awaited rematch.

But to settle his unfinished business with the Briton, Wilder has to overcome an acid test first from the Cuban powerhouse, Luis Ortiz.

In March 2018, Ortiz gave Wilder a scare in a competitive heavyweight bout before suffering a technical knockout loss came Round 10.

Since that loss to Wilder, ‘Kingkong’ has scored three straight wins to earn another shot at the WBC heavyweight championship.

‘The Bronze bomber,’ meanwhile, is coming off a sensational victory over Dominic Breazeale.

Just like their first meeting, Wilder stared slow. Ortiz, looking lighter and quicker, took control of the early goings, landing solid punches in the first three rounds.

It was in the fifth round where the defending champ heated up as he managed to land left hooks.

Then in the seventh round, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ finally showed his knockout power, putting Ortiz to sleep with a powerful right hand.

Watch the finish below:

“Bomb squaaaaaad!!!” Wilder repeatedly said after the brutal knockout.

“My opponent has to be perfect for 12 rounds, I only have to be perfect for one second.” he added.
