WATCH: Incredible Conor McGregor Promo Released Ahead of UFC 246

An incredible new promotional video has dropped for Conor McGregor ahead of his comeback fight against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone at UFC 246.

‘Notorious’ is set to make his return to the Octagon against Cerrone on January 18 in Las Vegas, following a 15 month absence.

Trouble

The Irishman’s last fight was back in 2018 when he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov via submission at UFC 229.

Things turned sour post-fight as a mass brawl took place, resulting in both fighters receiving hefty fines and bans.

McGregor was ultimately suspended from the UFC until April 2019.

But his absence from the Octagon continued as he found more trouble away from the sport.

The 31-year-old is now looking to turn things around. He’s announced a three-fight plan for 2020, starting with the ‘Cowboy’.

And BT have now released a brand new promo for the Dubliner ahead of his highly-anticipated return.

Watch the video below:

 Lost Focus

The video showcases McGregor’s meteoric rise to the top of the UFC before abruptly cutting to the darker period in his career.

It’s no secret that Notorious lost focus amidst his fame and success.

And the promo brilliantly highlights the two sides fans have seen to the former champion, raising the question as to whether he can redeem himself.

 Renewed Focus

McGregor seems to have renewed focus of late, and a video recently emerged of him in intense training ahead of his return to the sport.

Details of his diet plan have also been revealed, and he recently posted photos looking in peak physical condition as he prepares to face Cerrone.

While the video suggests we could see one McGregor or another step back into the Octagon, striking coach Owen Roddy recently expressed confidence Notorious is back to his best.

Roddy believes fans will see the McGregor they ‘fell in love with’ on January 18.

He told MMA Fighting: “You’re going to see the old Conor back…I can see that already.”

“When people see that, they’re going to say, ‘That’s the Conor we fell in love with.”
