Conor McGregor wowed the Las Vegas crowd last weekend with his phenomenal performance at UFC 246.
Looking sharper than ever, ‘The Notorious’ from Ireland needed only 40 seconds to dispatch Donald Cerrone in their much-hyped welterweight clash.
Mixed martial arts fans were all praises for McGregor for a brilliant display of shoulder strikes that resulted to the second fastest win in his career.
Even his opponent was shocked with the Irishman’s technique.
“Oh man, he got me with his elbows right away and distorted the sh*t out of me and then head-kicked me,” Cerrone said of Conor’s performance.
“What a great game plan he had, man it was awesome.”
“100% I had never seen anything like that.”
But it was not the first time McGregor used the striking technique as he has been perfecting it at Straight Blast Gym years before his fight with ‘Cowboy.’
A never-before-seen footage of the former two-division champ drilling shoulder strikes in a sparring with fellow Irishman, Cathal Pendred, recently surfaced on social media.

For Legacy
McGregor earned an extra $50000 bonus from the 40-second finish as he took home the Performance of the Night recognition along with a massive $3 million payday.
He now holds a 22-4 win-loss record as he scored his first MMA victory in three years.
Following the win, McGregor has moved up to 11th place in the latest pound-for-pound rankings, climbed to third spot at 155 pounds, and has cracked the top 15 at 170 pounds.
For his next outing, UFC president Dana White shot down a potential fight with Jorge Masvidal as the promotion looks to pursue the second instalment to the McGregor vs Nurmagomedov rivalry.
“It’s a huge fight for their legacy and for their sport,” White said in the UFC 246 event wrap-up.
“Khabib is 28-0 and you have to start talking about legacy. After tonight and after the first fight, we’re looking at Hagler- Hearns, Ali – Foreman.”
“This is a massive fight with global appeal. This is the fight to make.”
Potential Venue
The outspoken head honcho also made it clear that the rematch will not happen in Khabib’s home soil as well as in Las Vegas, where an ugly-post fight brawl ensued between Team Khabib and Team McGregor after their first meeting.
“There are many reasons why it will not happen in Moscow.” White claimed.
“It will happen either in the US or in London.”
“Unfortunately, Khabib is not a big Vegas fan after what happened to him here last time.”
The undefeated Nurmagomedov will defend his lightweight title this April at UFC 249 against Tony Ferguson at the Barclay’s Center in New York.
