Conor McGregor recently caused a stir on social media after naming his greatest mixed martial artists of all-time.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s biggest draw hailed himself as the second best fighter ever, if not tied at number one with former middleweight champion Anderson Silva while Georges St-Pierre and Jon Jones were in third and fourth place respectively.
While the list caused a heated debate among MMA fans, Mcgregor’s long-time coach John Kavanagh pointed out that the Irishman is no doubt the ‘greatest PRIZE fighter in MMA history.’
“You can argue all day about who’s the GOAT. But the greatest PRIZE fighter in MMA history is measurable and undisputed. Its really not even close,” the Straight Blast Gym coach highlighted.
‘The Notorious’ holds the record for the three highest grossing events ever in the UFC, including his UFC 229 lightweight title clash against Khabib Nurmagomedov, which tallied 2.4 million pay-per-view buys.
Responding to his coach’s Twitter post, McGregor highlighted more statistics that made him the greatest fighter of all-time.
“Don’t forget highest % ratio of KO’s, as well as fastest KO’s, both inside and outside the UFC. Also most titles won. Also most knockouts in most divisions. Also, I’m just the fucking GOAT. Get over it baby, and get with it! It’s good on this side! Come chill with the Billi GOAT!” he said.
Taking aim at St-Pierre and Jones’ KO percentages, McGregor said: “8ko’s and 10ko’s that’s the lol for me. Gets me giddy. Switch the channel giddy.”
“A small part of me does wish I stayed around and fought Ortega and Fili and the gang though, imagine that damage! But you know yourself, my balls were always just way too big for the baby jets.”
The former two-division champion ended: “Man, just love me! That’s all. Love me like you know you want to. Like you know you do! It will open up all the chambers of possibility! True self honesty.”
