WATCH: Belal Muhammad Drops Parody Of Tony Ferguson’s Unconventional Training

Some mixed martial arts fans believe Tony Ferguson is low-key crazy.

If you are a fan of the number one lightweight contender, you may have seen some footage of his unconventional training methods.

There is no one like Ferguson when it comes to doing the work in the gym.

‘Champ sh*t only.’ That is how he puts it.

Ferguson is set to take the biggest fight of his career. On April, he meets Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 249, with the lightweight championship on the line.

Ahead of this much-awaited war, he recently posted a video of his unorthodox training while claiming he is coming for the Russian champ.

“It Was All Fun & Games When They Laughed,… Now,.. They Get To Be Stuck In A Cage W/ Me. This Tyme Moar Than 3. Champ Shit Only.”

Leaked

But Ferguson was not the only UFC star who caught the attention of MMA fans this week.

UFC welterweight fighter, Belal Muhammad has created his own version of unconventional training methods mimicking ‘El Cucuy.’

Muhammad made his promotional debut in 2016 and has collected seven wins and three losses in ten outings.

He is currently on a two-fight winning streak, beating Takashi Sato and Curtis Millender, and is waiting for his next booking, where he could face a top-15 ranked opponent.

Always Peaking

Ferguson’s upcoming showdown with Nurmagomedov is being considered as the biggest MMA fight in 2020.

Looking to continue his winning ways, Ferguson warns his opponent that he is always on the peak of his game.

To this, ‘El Cucuy’ does not plan to change anything on his techniques that made him undefeated in the last 12 bouts

“I don’t change anything. I’m always peaking,” Ferguson told Ariel Helwani in a previous interview.

“I rest hard, I party hard, and I play hard. That’s exactly how I’ve been doing it for a very long time, and nothing’s going to change.”

“The only things I’m going to change are for me and for my team, and nobody else is going to know.”

“I’m in this dude’s head. He’s going to train so hard and he’s going to be so nervous that he’s going to make a mistake.”

“I’m going to capitalize on that. I’m going to catch him during the scramble.”
