Anthony Joshua Sends Warning To Deontay Wilder And Tyson Fury

Fresh off an emphatic win last weekend, two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is certain he will be too much for his rivals, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, in a potential fight.

Avenging his stunning knockout loss to Andy Ruiz Jr last June, the British sensation displayed his textbook boxing skills to eke out a unanimous decision win last Saturday in their rematch AKA ‘Clash of the Dunes.’

Joshua has reclaimed the unified heavyweight titles and is now being linked to a potential clash with the winner of Fury vs Wilder II, which is set to go down in February 2020.

While there are criticisms on Joshua that he is ducking his heavyweight rivals, AJ cleared he is ready to face anyone and believes neither Wilder or Fury will win against him.

Variety Of Skills

In a recent appearance at Good Morning Britain, the two-time heavyweight champion talked about these match-ups, saying he is definitely interested in sharing the squared circle with  either ‘The Bronze Bomber’ or ‘The Gypsy King.’

“I would love to make that my next fight. I’m taking it one step at a time. Whenever they are ready, they know where to find me.”

“I’m not a running champion, I’m someone who will fight the best in the world.”

“Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury are those guys.”

“I would love to have the opportunity to either beat Deontay Wilder or beat Tyson Fury.

Asked about his predictions, the Watford-born heavyweight said his different boxing styles would give him the win.

“I definitely believe so. I’ve displayed different styles of fighting. Sometimes inside fighting, sometimes knocked fighting, sometimes a boxing man’s fight.

“I believe I have their number, because I can display a variety of skills when it comes to boxing.”

Not Impressed

Meanwhile, Wilder has told The Atlantic he was not impressed with Joshua’s performance in his rematch with Ruiz Jr.

“He ran around the ring and was on his bike all day. Basically, he had [Wladimir] Klitschko in the camp and he was a lot like Klitschko: that jab-grab-hold method. That’s all he did tonight.

“He was so hesitant … Joshua’s mentality was to survive.”

“The Klitschko method. You want to dominate guys, man. I’m not coming in, after losing to this guy, to just dance and grab and jab and hold.”

To this, the WBC heavyweight division is more determined to prove that he is the best in the competition.

“I’m going to show the world and convince them I am the very best and that no one is close to me, especially with what’s going on in the division right now.”

“It’s a time of proving who is the best.”
