Footage Of Andy Ruiz’s Public Workout has Fans Worried For Anthony Joshua

Andy Ruiz Jr. impressed on his open workout days before his much-awaited rematch with Anthony Joshua.

The heavyweight rivals are set to reignite their rivalry this weekend as they head to Saudi Arabia for the Clash on the Dunes, featuring the re-run of their June 1 clash.

Ruiz Jr. seeks to repeat a stunning upset on his first official title-defence of the heavyweight belts while aiming to send the Briton to retirement with another win.

With so much at stake, both heavyweights have undergone incredible transformation for the rematch.

“He’s not been pumping weights, he’s been watching his diet, eating really clean,” boxing promoter Eddie Hearn told The Guardian about AJ’s preparation.

Boxing fans have praised Joshua for his slimmer physique going into the rematch but ‘The Destroyer’ is not showing any sign of concern.

Ready

Anticipating a different game plan from his challenger, Ruiz said he will have answers to whatever Joshua throws on Saturday.

“I know AJ has been working on different technicals, he’s slimmed down, so we’ve been working on different things and angles, different pressures and combos, ready for whatever he brings.”

“AJ will come with a different game plan and I know he is prepared, so I will become more cautious.”

“He lost weight and will try to box me around. I don’t want to let these beautiful belts go.”

“Now that I finally made my dreams come true, there is no way I will let them go.”

On Wednesday’s public workout, the Mexican champ displayed his speed and power, which had boxing fans worried that Joshua might suffer another stunning loss in the rematch.
