Aljamain Sterling has solidified his status as the next bantamweight contender after a masterful performance against Cory Sandhagen at UFC 250.
The bantamweight pair tussled in the main card of the said fight card at the UFC Apex arena in Las Vegas, with Sterling pulling off a statement win, which could earn him a crack at the vacant bantamweight belt.
The 30-year old native of Uniondale, New York secured the first round victory at the 1:28 mark as he submitted Sandhagen via rear-naked choke.
‘Funk Master’ remains undefeated in the last six fights, a strong run which includes wins against Jimmie Rivera and Pedro Munhoz.
