WATCH: Missionaries Confronted By Bandits with Guns in Brazil – Response Is Brilliant

Missionaries don’t tend to be looked at by anyone as scary, dangerous or anywhere near threatening. In fact, most of them look like complete pushovers when they’re walking around in their matching white shirts, slacks and backpacks. Easy targets for people with nefarious things in mind, don’t you think?

Some pretty hardcore video footage taken in the city of Manaus, Brazil, shows a pretty badass Mormon missionary defending themselves from some bandits, who just happen to be carrying guns. The pair of bandits pulled up on a motorbike next to two missionaries who were standing on the side of the road. One of the bandits approaches, and things look a little bit scary, if just for a moment.

As some of the other victims start to give the bandits their stuff while being held at gunpoint, the other Mormon missionary gets a hold of the would-be thief. He pulls the gun away from the bandit and then points it at the bandit’s partner, looking like an absolute badass.

He then tosses the gun away over a fence and then starts to beat the would-be thief up, landing some pretty heavy punches. We’re talking hard overhand rights that are landing flush to the side of the bandit’s head. The Mormon then begins to wrestle with him, and the two of them end up on the other side of the street, with other members of the public pulling over in order to help the missionaries. Eventually, the bandit manages to get up and run away, looking absolutely horrified.

The church the missionaries were assigned to, LDS, have said that both of the missionaries involved were safe following the attack, but did not confirm their personal information.

Say what you want to about missionaries and door knockers, but some of them are a lot toughter than they let on! Check out the video in the player below and let us know what you think:
