Conor McGregor Releases First Trailer For His ‘Notorious’ Movie

The official trailer for Conor McGregor: Notorious has been released and it looks fu*king badass…

Universal Studios announced the project back in July when they posted a photo on their Facebook page with the caption: “Coming Soon – The official story of the unstoppable rise of Conor McGregor. Happy birthday to the champ champ!”

McGregor released a pic on his Instagram account with the following caption: “We are excited to announce that McGregor Sports Entertainment and Universal Pictures have teamed up to bring you ‘The Notorious’ Coming soon, to a theatre near you!”

The film will show the rise of McGregor, from his early days on the benefit (welfare) and his struggles to make ends meet, to becoming the biggest name in combat sports. It will heavily feature his relationship with longtime girlfriend Dee Devlin, who has been with the Irishman from the start.

The trailer shows highlights of McGregor’s career to date, from first signing with the UFC and meeting its president, Dana White, to his 13-second knock out win over featherweight champ Jose Aldo, his epic wars with Nate Diaz and most recently, and his boxing match with Floyd Mayweather. It’s been reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger even makes an appearance in the film.

It’s been a hectic year for the Irishman: from the birth of his first child to an absolutely massive boxing debut against Mayweather. Hell, he even found time to launch his own brand of whiskey (called ‘Notorious’, obviously).

Pretty much the only thing we haven’t seen him do is step inside the Octagon to defend his UFC lightweight belt!

The film will be in cinemas in the UK and Ireland on November 1st, the US and Canada on November 8th, and New Zealand and Australia on November 9th. It will be released to the rest of the world early next year.

Love him or hate him – and there are significant numbers in both camps – there’s undeniably something special about Conor McGregor. This should be a bloody interesting documentary…
