Drug Paraphenalia Found Inside Conor McGregor’s Trashed Hotel Room
UFC lightweight champion and mixed martial arts superstar Conor McGregor has been making the headlines after his latest appearance at the Grand National races held at Aintree race track in Merseyside, England.
McGregor has been spending more time at the races since appearing in a hilarious advertisement for the Pegasus World Cup Invitational earlier this year.
McGregor starred with Hollywood comedian Jon Lovitz in the advertisement, with Lovitz playing McGregor’s new trainer. “How hard can horse racing even be?”, asks McGregor when a media member questions whether he’s up to the task of being a jockey. “I’m the greatest at whatever I decide to do.”
Evidently, McGregor isn’t just one of the best fighters in the world, he’s also a hell of a party animal.
The Irish-born superstar is alleged to have hired a team of cleaning specialists to come in and clean up his hotel room at the Grand National, which was left with a huge amount of damage. McGregor had spent five days partying at the races before checking into the Hilton in Liverpool while his pregnant partner, Dee Devlin, stayed elsewhere in town.
Friends of McGregor are said to have left behind dozens and dozens of glass bottles, some possible home-made paraphernalia and a bunch of empty laughing gas canisters, popularly known as “nangs”, “nos”, “igi” or “whippets”. It’s not yet known who the items belong to.
According to the Sun, a witness said that “there were canisters all over the floor, smashed glass and food lying about… They damaged sofas and left cigarette butts and his Irish flag.”
“He got people in there to clean because of the level of damage,” said the witness. “It’s just been carnage. Just full on partying.”
While there may have been some major damage to the 300 pound a night presidential suite at the Liverpool Hilton, it’s safe to say, McGregor, who has taken home millions of dollars per fight since defeating Jose Aldo, can cover the cost.
