Conor McGregor Announces UFC Retirement
The MMA world is literally in meltdown at the moment, after Conor McGregor shocked the world just minutes ago.
Appearing to come out of no where, Conor McGregor dropped the biggest bombshell of his career thus far.
He appears to have announced his retirement.
“I’ve decided to retire young,” McGregor said. “Thanks for the cheese. Catch ya’s later.”
I have decided to retire young.
Thanks for the cheese.
Catch ya's later.

McGregor isn’t one to shy away from stirring the pot in the past – we re-call the time he inducted himself into the UFC hall of a fame… But this appears to be different.
McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh, also validated McGregor’s sentiment moments ago.
Well was fun while it lasted

And leading MMA journalist Ariel Helwani has also confirmed that it does not appear to be a hoax.
Multiple sources are adamant at this time that McGregor's tweet isn't a joke, troll job or hoax of any kind. Reason(s) behind it is unclear.

At just 27 years of age, McGregor is at the peak of his career. Considering his business-like mind, retirement would be incredibly bizarre.
Last week, Portuguese MMA fighter Joao Carvalho died after being brutally knocked out. McGregor was at the event and was left devastated at what happened. Could this have affected his future?
McGregor is scheduled to fight at UFC 200 in just 3 months time. It’s currently not clear whether he plans to fight Nate Diaz in July or his retirement is imminent.
