Cris Cyborg Is On A RAMPAGE -Calls Out Huge Named Opponent For UFC 219

Newly crowned UFC women’s featherweight champion Cristiano “Cyborg” Justino hasn’t been sitting on her new throne for even two weeks yet and she’s already making waves about who she wants to brutalise next.

Justino fought former Invicta FC champion Tonya Evinger at UFC 214, putting on a stunning performance that cemented her dominance at the top of the new women’s featherweight division. Evinger was a replacement for Invicta FC champion Megan Anderson, who pulled out of the fight due to injury. Cyborg thoroughly dominated the bout with crisp, measured striking before finishing Evinger by TKO along the octagon fence.

After the bout, she paid tribute to Evinger before noting that she believed she had put up a much stronger fight than another former women’s champion may have, had they ever fought. “I think Tonya is a great fighter, and truthfully I think she performed better against me than Ronda Rousey would have,” said Justino after UFC 214. “Tonya has always impressed me, and she is a fighter who has deserved to be in the UFC for a while and has been in the top 10 in the world at 135 pounds for a long time.”

Justino is now looking to take on another former women’s champion in “The Preacher’s Daughter,” Holly Holm, with a post on Instagram targeting UFC 219 on December 30th as a potential date.

The Brazilian champion referred to Holm as the “Ronda Killer” in the Portuguese portion of her post, referencing the absolutely brutal head kick knock out victory that Holm had over former champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia. Holm had looked to dominate the bout early, scoring with crisp striking that left Rousey, a former Olympic judoka, absolutely rattled. Unable to get Holm to the ground, she was forced to rely on her boxing skills, which were severely lacking when faced with an opponent as experienced in kickboxing and boxing as Holm.

The head kick that knocked out Rousey was heard around the world and propelled Holm into the limelight. While Holm would go on a three fight losing streak following her win over Rousey, her most recent head kick knockout of Bethe Correia set tongues wagging around the world once more.
